    Where will you be working?

    As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

    This role is in our Technology department, our IT teams design, manage and optimise IT systems to support the smooth and secure operations of our Group.

    What will you be doing?

    You’ll take the lead in creating and maintaining clear project and communication plans, ensuring the smooth delivery of IT projects. 

    You’ll stay aligned with the M Group IT PMO Governance framework to keep everything on track. 

    Also, you’ll collaborate closely with everyone involved to agree on, coordinate, and schedule project activities effectively. You’ll Inspire and guide the project team, offering direction and motivation where it's needed most. 

    You’ll keep a close eye on project budgets, managing them responsibly and providing regular, transparent updates. 

    You’ll share weekly project highlight reports to keep everyone informed and in the loop. 

     As well as proactively identify and assess IT project risks, communicating them clearly to the right people and managing them effectively. Where necessary, integrate these risks into Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans. 

    You’ll manage expectations around project delivery, and if any deadlines are at risk, escalate concerns as early as possible to allow time for corrective action. 

    What you’ll bring

    • Extensive experience delivering IT business system (CRM, ERP) projects.
    • Comprehensive experience working with technologies, such as, Salesforce, IFS and Microsoft.
    • Experience working within the Essential Infrastructure industry is advantageous.
    • Provision of reporting and metrics which demonstrate effective governance and control which meet customer/business requirements.
    • Experience of managing complex and senior stakeholder interactions
    • Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels.
    • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
