Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
This role will be within our Fixed networks team, you’ll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks.

What will you be doing?
We are looking for someone to lead how we manage Streetworks across the business. This role helps make sure our work follows the rules and keeps disruption to a minimum. You will be part of a team that supports telecoms projects and works closely with clients and local authorities.
You will help shape how we plan and carry out Streetworks. You will look at how things are done now and find ways to do them better. You will check for problems, look at patterns and help teams fix issues before they grow. You will also make sure our work follows the law and meets national standards.
You will work with others to share knowledge and help teams understand what good looks like. You will help people learn how to follow best practice and stay up to date with changes in the law. You will also help teams understand how to avoid mistakes and reduce risk.
You will keep track of how well we are doing. You will look at data and write reports that show where we are doing well and where we need to improve. You will help find ways to save money and work more efficiently.
You will work with teams across the business, including finance, legal and operations. You will help everyone pull in the same direction and make sure our work is joined up. You will also help manage relationships with clients and local authorities.
This role needs someone who understands how Streetworks affect people and places. You will need to know how to manage risk and follow rules. You will also need to be good at working with others and helping teams do their jobs well.

What you’ll bring;
You will bring a strong understanding of how Streetworks are planned, managed and delivered. You will know how to work with local authorities, contractors and internal teams to make sure everything is done properly and on time. You will be familiar with the rules and processes that apply to permits, notices and reinstatements.
You will have experience leading teams who deal with Streetworks every day. You will know how to guide them through complex situations and help them stay focused on what matters. You will be able to spot risks early and take steps to avoid delays or problems.
You will understand how to keep records and follow legal requirements. You will be used to working with systems that track progress, costs and compliance. You will be able to explain things clearly and help others understand what needs to be done.
You will be confident working with people at all levels. You will be able to build good relationships with councils, clients and colleagues. You will be calm under pressure and able to make decisions when things change quickly. You will be someone who takes pride in doing things properly and helping others do the same.
You will be able to travel when needed and work in different locations. You will be happy to take the lead and support others to get the job done.
