You’ll be joining our Highways team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?
Managing the contract commercial team including line management and personal development plans
Review proposed contracts to identify unacceptable terms and conditions and negotiate contracts with clients and supply chain
Identification of unacceptable wording in bonds, warranties and other guarantees
Liaise with the customer, his representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies.
Cost and value management for project
Change management for project contract administration – ensuring all required notices are issued in a timely manner.
Managing supply chain across multiple projects and frameworks
Procurement for project, coordinating with the Procurement Team
Identification, preparation and negotiation of claims and assisting with dispute resolution
Liaison with Contracts Manager, Client and its team, and Milestone management
What you’ll bring
- A recognised qualification in a construction related subject
- Strong, demonstrable experience in NEC 3 or 4 contracts including all Main Options (A-E)
- Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation
- Financially astute
- Relevant CSCS Card
- Prior experience of projects in value of up to £15m as well as a number of small projects
- Understand the contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change etc.
