Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.
We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our EV team. We’re working hard to make safe, quality, sustainable EV projects a reality. Our teams install charging stations, ensuring they are accessible and reliable, and ingrate them into the energy network.

What will you be doing?

Are you a skilled Estimator with experience in assessing bid opportunities leading to a bid / no-bid review? Are you able to evaluate project risks and potential problems, whilst checking the accuracy and completeness of client’s tender documents?
Do you have a talent for Determining the Civils BofQ for pricing? The ability to build up rates from first principles is essential!
We’re looking for someone who can assist in the preparation of tender submission and deliver post tender presentations to the client. Someone who can assist in the technical and estimating element of preparation of tender and quotations from specification and drawings within defined time periods.

What you’ll bring
- An estimating background from a civil environment with extensive experience of delivering capital projects
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels.
- Knowledge of how electrical infrastructure is constructed, operated and maintained with an appreciation of National Grid and DNO Standards
- Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- The ability and desire to identify opportunities for improvement, and influence change
- Organised with a high attention to detail and the ability to react to constant changing workloads
- Excellent people management skills
- Strong commercial acumen – knowledge of forms of contract (NEC, ICE & JCT)
- Understanding of the planning and sequencing of construction projects
