This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery - Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
You'll be part of our site based Operational team who are responsible for the delivery of our specialist engineering works.
You'll be a experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who can fault find, repair and manufacture mechanical plant and machinery specialising in the water industry.
You'll need to supervise the onsite teams to ensure works are carried out safely, on time and on budget and promote and enforce safe working practices at all times without prejudice.
Well need you to have an inventive mind and be able to assess a mechanical failure whilst developing action plans, arrange ordering and manufacture of parts.
You'll liaise with clients to understand root cause and communicate a solution and supervise and site manage to make sure projects are delivered on time and in budget
90% of this role is based out on site with a team, working on all water industry assets from reservoirs to tap and toilet to river.
Once jobs are completed you'll need to be able to provide a written summary of the work completed with photographic evidence to help with the production of case studies, job completion reports etc.
What you’ll bring
- Proven mechanical engineering qualifications are preferred, although recognition will be given to industry experience and knowledge
- Experience of working in the Water Industry is a plus, however we'll teach you everything you need to know to carry out this role.
- Proven ability to work in and lead engineering teams safely and effectively
We're looking for you to have the ability to think outside the box in order to develop intelligent, engineered and bespoke solutions for our customers, covering reservoirs, the potable water and wastewater network and treatment plants
Are you willing to work in adverse weather conditions and confined spaces?
Do you have a valid driving license? This is needed for the role.
