    Where will you be working?

    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This role will be within our Developer services team. Our developer services team connects water and wastewater services, installs lateral drains, and enables new developments access to vital water and wastewater services.

    What will you be doing? 

    You'll be responsible for administering the NEC form of contracts, raising early warning notices to the client and subcontractors. We'll need you to have a keen eye for detail identifying, notifying and pricing of compensation events. 

    You'll need to produce or support the production of CVRs and P&L reports along with managing subcontractors from tender inquiries to final accounts, review subcontract quotations and be involved in placing subcontract orders. 

    You'll check time-sheets and staff allocations for different work packages, agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors. 

    Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar level within with a civil engineering or utilities contractor would mean you could excel in this role!

    What you’ll bring
    • Are you familiar with assessing and paying subcontract applications, preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages?
    •  Are you a proactive mentor? As part of this role you'll be managing and mentoring of junior members of the commercial team, supporting their growth and knowledge. 
    • Do you have working knowledge of the NEC3 suite of contract?
    • Are you experienced using CEMAR?
    • Have you gained experience in the Utilities/Rail/Highways sector?
    • Do you have experience in dealing with high volume and low value work?
    • Do you have experience working in an Alliance environment with multiple partners including the Client?
