At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
You'll be working within Private networks where we find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

What will you be doing?
As an FLM Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting telecoms infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland and Dublin, with occasional travel required. Working as part of a 24/7/365 operation, you'll participate in a 1-in-7 shift rota, delivering first-line maintenance, installation and commissioning activities across a variety of telecoms environments.
You'll be responsible for maintaining, fault finding and restoring fixed and mobile telecommunications equipment, ensuring all tickets are managed and resolved within agreed SLA timescales. You'll also keep technical documentation up to date, complete risk assessments, and ensure all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
The role offers a varied workload, including data centre activities, fibre fault finding, street cabinet maintenance, preventative maintenance programmes, site surveys and technical reporting. You'll work closely with our Network Operations Centre (NOC), responding to requests promptly and maintaining professional communication with both customers and colleagues.
You'll also support knowledge sharing and the development of other team members, helping to drive a collaborative and high-performing culture. Full training will be provided to ensure you have the skills and support needed to succeed in the role.
What you’ll bring?
We're looking for a proactive and technically minded individual with a passion for telecommunications and problem-solving.
You will:
- You'll be confident using power tools, hand tools and ladders in a safe and effective manner.
- You'll possess strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, basic DOS commands and VT software.
- Have the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment quickly.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and fault-finding skills to support effective problem resolution.
- Have a solid understanding of telecoms infrastructure and components, particularly fibre networks and data centre environments.
- Be highly organised, flexible and able to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional approach to customer and stakeholder interactions.
- Show a strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team when required.
- Be able to anticipate demands, respond proactively to tasks and maintain high standards of service delivery.
