    At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.   
    We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.  
    This role will be within our Metering team. You’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, we provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.   
    Our meter readers install, maintain and manage meters to make sure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.

    What will you be doing?
    In this role, you’ll take a leading position in shaping the performance, culture, and day to day success of our national Meter Health operations. Your work will directly influence how effectively our teams deliver safe, consistent, and high quality service across the UK. Your responsibilities will include: 
    - Leading Safely & Effectively:
    You will champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring full compliance with all industry and regulatory requirements. By consistently achieving safety KPIs and embedding best practice behaviours across your region, you’ll set the standard for safe and reliable delivery.
    - Operational Excellence:
    You’ll oversee performance across a national footprint, working closely with Field Managers to optimise daily service delivery. Your focus will be on driving operational KPIs, achieving commercial targets, and fostering strong engagement across the workforce.
    - Data Driven Management:
    In this role, you’ll maintain high standards of data integrity and provide meaningful MI to support informed decision making. You will proactively identify performance risks and take clear, targeted action to resolve them.
    - Leadership & People Development:
    You’ll lead and develop up to seven Field Managers, supporting a wider engineering workforce through structured coaching and performance management. Creating a consistent and collaborative team environment built on clarity and accountability will be central to your success.
    - Change & Continuous Improvement:
    You’ll play a key role in supporting major business change initiatives while leading regional improvements that strengthen operational performance. You will also contribute by sharing best practice across the organisation and representing leadership teams in senior forums.
    - Stakeholder & Contract Management:
    You’ll work collaboratively across functions to address emerging risks and operational challenges. Additionally, you’ll support client interactions and oversee sub contractor performance to ensure service delivery expectations are consistently achieved.

    What you’ll bring 
    At least 5 years’ leadership experience, ideally within utilities, metering, or field-based workforce environments.
    Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
    A data-driven mindset with excellent analytical ability.
    IOSH Managing Safely and ILM (or equivalent) leadership qualifications.
    A track record of delivering results through strong operational management and cultural change.
    Confidence working independently from home while leading teams nationwide.
