    Where will you be working?

    As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

    This role is in our People department, our People Team supports us to recruit, retain, engage and develop our people. Roles can be in talent acquisition, learning, reward, employee relations or people services.

    What will you be doing?

    Reporting directly to a Board member, this role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership and make a meaningful impact. You'll be the trusted go-to person for diary management, logistics, project oversight, compliance, and the handling of critical confidential documents and files, while liaising with M Group and senior stakeholders.

    You’ll manage the Board member's diary and provide seamless support to his leadership team.  As well as preparing monthly and occasional confidential reports, ensuring accuracy and discretion. 

    Also, you’ll arrange travel and accommodation, taking care of hotel bookings and other logistics. 

    You’ll immerse yourself in the business strategies and goals, actively supporting the company’s values and strategic objectives. 

    You’ll coordinate function-wide communications, briefings, and team events that foster collaboration and clarity. 

    Finally you’ll carry out all other duties integral to the role and the smooth running of day-to-day business operations.

    You’ll have the option of working one day per week from home.

    What you’ll bring

    • A seasoned Executive Assistant with considerable experience in a similar role, reporting directly to a Board member / Executive leader.
    • Proven experience producing functional Board packs and collating confidential papers.
    • Experience working in a busy HR / People Team function with a clear understanding of the areas that sit in this function.
    • High levels of literacy and numeracy with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
    • Highly IT proficient with Microsoft Office applications and associated software
    • Communicate effectively and professionally to internal and external customers to encourage long-term relationships
    • Be calm and collaborative in a rapidly changing environment
