Where will you be working?
At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?
You'll be winning work by producing tenders and preparing all financial elements of submissions.
You'll lead on preparing accurate prices for materials, labour and equipment based on client drawings and specifications.
We'll ask you to create, analyse, and maintain correct and accurate quantities and thorough take-offs from designs/data sets.
You'll be compiling subcontractor and material quotation packages and reviewing subcontractor and material returns with the procurement team. This will ensure all tenders are based on real market quotations.
You'll also help develop prices for preliminaries and overhead costs.
What you’ll bring
- Do you have a degree level education or previous relevant estimating experience?
- Sound mathematical and numeracy skills, with the ability to solve problems analytically
- Contract conditions knowledge (including NEC), specifications and drawings
- Are you flexible towards travel?
- Experience using estimating software and excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Particular attention to detail with strong leadership skills
